West Harbour, New Zealand resident Chilhwan Kim, 36, suffers from flat feet and excruciating pain when walking or standing for long periods. Kim is currently completing a Master’s degree in osteopathy, and is in search of answers and conducting research for a solution to flat feet. “The primary treatment options for flat feet are limited to wearing corrective shoes, but there is manual therapy and exercise available for long term improvement,” said Kim. He believes there is short term treatment, but no long-term solution. “In our treatment we use balance ligament tension which is related to balancing out ligament problems. I was thinking that treatment could help more long-term,” he said.
