Dr. West is a native of northern Ohio who from a very young age encompassed a passion for science and medicine. He graduated with honors from Admiral King High School, and went on to study biology and chemistry at the University of Akron. He there achieved the highest possible honor, graduating Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Science. Dr. West then attended medical school in Cleveland, and received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree with the 2nd highest grade point average in his class. He was one of only 2 fellow doctors in his class of 124 to be inducted into the Pi Delta National Honor Society.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. West then moved to Michigan to complete his surgical residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center. His residency director, Dr. Irvin Kanat, is a past president of the American Podiatric Medical Association, founded the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is one of the most recognized and accomplished podiatrists in the country. The surgical training Dr. West received under Dr. Kanat’s administration was exceptional, and has allowed him to become a very talented and experienced surgeon. Dr. West’s training includes the surgical correction of foot deformities, laser techniques, endoscopic surgery, diabetic wound care, and trauma.
One of Dr. West’s most noteworthy attributes is his compassionate relationship with patients.

Dr. West has been in private practice for the past 3.5 years, and is extremely excited to join Foot HealthCare Associates. “This practice is amazing, all of the doctors are quite talented, they are keeping up with the latest technologies in medicine, and this allows them to deliver the highest quality of care possible. This is something I wanted to be a part of, and I hope to add to an already outstanding group of physicians.” He is married to his loving wife Christina, and is the proud father of their son Landen, born October 2007.
