Dr. Gary Docks, DPM
"If you like Dr. Mozen, then we know you'll love Dr. Docks. About 25 years ago, Dr. Mozen was trained by Dr. Docks at North Detroit General Hospital as a surgical resident. Dr. Docks even fixed up Dr. Mozen with his wife! And now, Dr. Docks is back working for Dr. Mozen on a part-time basis. He currently holds privileges at St John Medical Center, Providence Hospital, DMC, and Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital where he still is involved with residency training.
Dr. Docks (also known as Daddy Docks by the staff) brings 32 years of extensive experience to the office with broad expertise in wound care and limb salvage, reconstructive flatfoot surgery, trauma, and elective foot and ankle surgery. He is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and has headed several residency programs and trained hundreds of residents over the years, including Dr. Mozen and our newest Associate, Dr. Modupe Aderibigbe. He also enjoys providing excellent conservative care (corns, calluses, painful nails) to all patients
who require it as well. He just loves treating his patients.
Dr. Docks loves the challenge of dealing with difficult cases; there isn't too much he hasn't seen over the past 32 years. The only quality that exceeds his surgical and diagnostic skills, is his ability to connect with all his patients and our staff as well. A large man with the softest touch you've ever experienced. To know him is to love him.
Years ago, Dr. Mozen gave Dr. Docks a plaque when he completed his residency program which stated: "To Daddy Docks....who never met a foot he couldn't fix...he raised us to do great things". The inscription, penned more than 30 years, still rings true to this day.
